Materials we use on repairs
Repair work is materials-intensive in a good way. The cheaper the materials, the faster the patch fails.
- Hot rubberized crack sealant: Heated to application temperature, flows into the crack, bonds to both faces, flexes with thermal movement.
- Hot-mix asphalt (patch material): Same hot-mix we use on full driveways, placed at temperature so the patch bonds properly. Cold patch is a stopgap, not a real repair.
- Tack coat: Asphalt emulsion brushed onto patch edges before placing new material so the patch bonds to the surrounding asphalt instead of sitting on top.

Alligator cracking is the interconnected web pattern that looks like alligator skin. It's a symptom of base failure underneath, not a surface problem. Small zones can be cut out and patched, but if the whole driveway is alligator cracked, repair is throwing money away. We'll tell you which it is.
Do you do edge repair?
Yes. The edge is the most common failure point on a driveway, especially where the asphalt meets grass or a concrete apron. We rebuild the edge and re-establish drainage.

Will the patch match the rest of the driveway?
